چکیده
Abstract Purpose The steady rise of atmospheric CO 2 concentrations enhances symbiotic N fixation and plant growth. However, it is largely unknown whether more P required to enhance under elevated . We examined if plants require support enhanced fixation. Methods White lupin ( Lupinus albus L. cv. Kiev) was grown in nutrient solution ambient (380 ppm) (700 levels at 0, 2, 5, 12, 25 50 µM P. Nodulation, nodule function, growth were assessed 4 6 weeks post inoculation. Excess cation uptake proton release also analysed due its importance acquisition. Results Elevated increased the critical concentration for fixation, indicating need acquire additional greater improved P-deficient by increasing specific nitrogenase activity. excess which roots. Conclusions As demand P, thereby mitigate effect deficiency on Despite this, could P-limiting environments.

متن کاملInteractions between light intensity and phosphorus nutrition affect the phosphate-mining capacity of white lupin (Lupinus albus L.)
Light intensity affects photosynthetic carbon (C) fixation and the supply of carbon to roots. To evaluate interactions between carbon supply and phosphorus (P) supply, effects of light intensity on sucrose accumulation, root growth, cluster root formation, carboxylate exudation, and P uptake capacity were studied in white lupin (Lupinus albus L.) grown hydroponically with either 200 µmol m(-2) ...

The aim of the study was to evaluate the vigor and viability as well as to determine and compare the contents of selected protein fractions of white lupin (Lupinus albus L.) seeds stored for 26 years at temperatures of -14°C and +20°C. The seeds stored at -14°C germinated in 86.3%, while the seeds stored at +20°C did not germinate at all. The viability evaluation was confirmed by the measuring ...
